From Winnepeg, Manitoba to Fargo, North Dakota to Edmonton, Alberta

Tomo had a load of grapes that he delivered to Winnipeg, Manitoba and then went back down to Fargo, North Dakota to swap trailers and take a load of office furniture to Edmonton, Alberta.  Tomo made it up to Minot, North Dakota and was faced with detour after detour due to the flooding rivers up in that part.  As it turned out, he had to go via Saskatchewan/Montana border was closed at Estevan due to the road being washed out.  He finally made it to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and would be there for Sunday and then on to Edmonton, Alberta on Monday.

It was really bad in Minot as well. Couple detours and roads covered with water and what not. Talked to the guy that took me to meeting couple weeks ago and found out his house is under 12ft of water and 2 feet more to come by midnight Saturday.

Tomo shut down in Fort Morgan CO at 14:00.  He had run out of hours. Only had 4 hours to drive that day.  Once the sun came up, he was up and running again. He hopes to be up near Sioux City, South Dakota but......  flooding in that area may cause some detours....  will wait to hear what is next on the schedule.

On The Way to Albuquerque, New Mexico with Mr. & Mrs Idaho PotatoeHeads

Tomo started in Anaconda, Montana.  He was sent down to Rexburg, Idaho and picked up a maximum 44000 lbs load of Idaho Potatoes that are bound for Albuquerque, New Mexico. Whole truck is at 80000. At this time he is in Cortez, Colorado.  From Rexburg, Idaho to Cortez, Colorado there are many ups and downs and Tomo was having a bit of a battle getting the truck to do its part.  Exhausted and spent, he is fast asleep in Cortez till 11 am when he starts out again.

No service for miles on end. Nothing but nothing. Very cool area. Went through Moab UT later on, a place I want to come back and tour around. It was already dark by the time I got there so no pictures.

A Few Days Off and one Graduation!

Tomo had a few days off since the red hot flaming brakes!  During his time off the truck was in the shop and things were put in order (sort of....?)

During the time off, Tomo headed back to Granite Falls to pick up his Mom (ME) at  SeaTac International Airport.  On the way back, Tomo was able to visit with some of the friends in the Spokane area and get a chance to relax.  Thanks goes to Shirley and Bob in the Spokane Valley, as well as Shaun and Sandy in the Cheney area.  To think, what our son would do without our loving friends in out of the way places, as well as those on the the way to here and there!!  He is very fortunate and we really appreciate all your care!!

On Thursday, the 9th of June, Tomo picked me up at the SeaTac and we then did a mad dash back to Masaki's high school for the final assembly of the year.
Granite Falls High School
It is the most ceremonious assembly of the year, as the Seniors leave, the Juniors move up into position of leaders of the school and like wise the Sophomores move to the Junior position and Freshman to the Sophomore with a section waiting for the incoming Freshman.  Recognition was given to all the students for various honors and it was really a nice assembly.  Teachers that would be retiring, or moving to other schools were given a fond farewell but the grand finale was the TEACHER'S CORRIDOR that was created by the faculty to give a final goodbye to the class of 2011.  Lots of hugs, tears, smiles and tissue for all concerned.  It was nice to be apart of this.
