Latest Update on Trucker Tomo

With a load of office furniture to be delivered on 

Monday morning, April 15th in San Leandro, California.....

  

On April 8th in Casey, Iowa Tomo broke down along 

the road for two hours.  He was on the way to California!!  

Hose from the intercooler busted!

Those hoses are not supposed to show their springs!!

Not a cheap part on this truck!!

Tomo had a load of furniture to deliver to San Leandro, California on April 15th, Monday morning at 6 am but .... on April 9th, Tomo was stuck in a sudden Spring/Winter storm near York, Nebraska.  Luckily, he was not in the mess in Missouri with the tornados and the warnings there.  However due to the sudden drop in temperature and the moisture on the ground and the sudden snow storm, the roads became a black ice rink.  He was driving extremely slowly and watched in his rearview mirror one of his fellow truckers lose his control and it 'jack knifed across the two lanes of traffic.  Tomo proceeded to crawl to the next exit and park near Bradshaw, Nebraska to wait out the storm and the bad conditions.

WARNINGS:

•NE DOT reduces the road hazard level from "extreme caution" to "caution"

•Fuel up and take off

•Road is covered with ice

•Creeping along at 25-30 mph•Truck behind me jack knives, truck goes off the road with trailer   

  blocking both lanes

•Pulled off 5 miles up the road at the very next exit from where I took off•Later, checked the NE DOT 

  and hazard level was back to "extreme caution"

Saw this sign in Nevada .... I don't think so....

Not really the 'Beverly Hills' we all hear about!
